I have a varied background in being an instrument of healing using several different modalities of energy healing. As a practitioner and being a (I hate the term Master because it implies a complete knowledge of everything) anyway I did become a Reiki Master and have used this modality as a Paramedic when our Western Medicines didn't work, but it did. I am also a Catholic Eucharistic Minister and just today offered to volunteer at Calvary Hospital for the terminally ill in the Bronx but was told "No Reiki in a Catholic facility." Interestingly on the way to getting my license in Massage Therapy I had the opportunity to volunteer at Beth Israel Hospice and there was no such discrimination. At Sloan Kettering a cancer research hospital they have a study with over 1,000 patients employing massage and Reiki.
As for the bishops if they have not had the backbone to get rid of child abusers, burned Joan of Arc because she "spoke to God," claimed the earth was the center of the universe, killed millions in the Crusades for a land grab when Jesus said "Do not kill" and today for all their pomp and ceremony have hardened hearts...these geniuses I wouldn't worry about. Read the message Mom (the Blessed Mother)reportedly told the children of Garabandal, Spain about Bishops and Cardinals.
As for me I attend Mass for the Body and Blood of Christ; not for the politically blind leading the blind. When I do any type of intercession realize it is not me doing the work. Yes indeed there is a spiritual component and it is the Holy Spirit that works through me, for I am nothing unto myself.
Now concerning demonic forces isn't it interesting that they speak of what the majority of their priests, theologians and the bishops and cardinals DO NOT BELIEVE IN. Hey this isn't me but a pious faith filled exorcist in Rome, Fr. Gabriele Amorth. Perhaps the bishops should read Corinthians concerning gifts from the Holy Spirit.
Finally; didn't Jesus say if we follow Him and have faith we will be able to do what He has done and more? Jesus was talking to us, vessels of healing grace not spineless old men hiding in expensive robes squeezing the poor for gold to send back to the CEO. No, I fear not these people but will continue to love being a vessel by which Jesus works through me bringing love and healing to Catholic, Jew, Hindu, Islamic, Atheist, Native American, Buddhist etc.
There is but ONE GOD and He is in us all. Hey, didn't they burn Joan of Arc and isolate Padre Pio?
My brothers and sisters, remain in LOVE. Remember it is not you who heals, but your love is needed. So continue to be vessels of God's eternal Love, which is all our birthright.
BE PEACE!

Reiki itself decared that it isn't a religion, where's the healing energy comes from? Does it comes from the God or the Demon? If it comes from the God, why it hadn't been mentioned in the Bible, why we have to pray for the God if there's something needs to be healed! why we don't simply go to Reiki for healing, if this is the case, we'll be more likely to forget the God and go to Reiki, is it a trap set up by Demon? Does the energy comes from evil spirits?

it is sad Lisa...the church is exuding a lot of fear. It is my hope that the church understands that attraction is much better than promotion...and this is not very attractive.

Churches were built to have open doors ~ to welcome EVERYONE with open arms, to counsel, to console ~ not to control. And why? Because they of little faith are living in fear. How very sad.
