Its no secret. Everyone wants more “likes” on Fan Pages on Facebook. New followers on Twitter ? Gotta have ’em! There is a new site opening called Myintuitivelifestyle.com launching March 15th. The site was developed so that holistic folks (Yoga,Massage, vegan, organic,Acupuncture,Reiki and the like) could promote their businesses and events easily and cheaply. Press releases and Youtube clips can be added to each entry when you join.

Think of  it as an “Information Co-operative”..

One of the designers of this web directory (of sorts) told me she is including an “Our Favorite Fan Pages” and “Our Favorite Twitterers” sections to MyIntuitiveLifestyle.com.

MIL will take FanPage links and Twitter links for free till  April 15th ! This is the first blogpost on this very cool chance to rev up some fans on your pages.

There are two ways to submit:

Email bchboy@rickywood.net  (I will forward the links to MIL)  OR

click on their Fanpage

Myintuitivelifestyle has final say on who they will accept but hey, it’s free !

This offer ends April 15th. (I don’t exactly how many they are accepting but she says “a shitload”)

“All This is That” – the Beach Boys

I’ve never met Joe LoBrutto Psychic Medium in person. A year ago, something told me I may be crossing paths with him and to be ready. So I got my baseball bat and waited. Then I realized that voice inside my head was telling that this was a good man and not to be frightened. Soon I would start to see his name at random events and times. The voices again were telling me to reach out to him, that he was on to something.  Big.  I went by his website and left a comment.

Since then, we have spoken many times and I have even been on his radio show.  It was great meeting and talking with another male intuitive, especially one with his heart in the heavens and his butt on the ground.

Joe said he had a book coming out and he would send me one.

I just received  “Is There More to Life Than What We Know?”. This book is more than a “How to”  (although there are excellent tips and exercises to improve intuition). The writings  are a platform for Joe’s ” Spirit Guides” to bring messages of hope and peace in a way that’s  beautifully easy to understand.

josephsbook

The world is changing and the story of this book is how to best prepare for the earthly and spiritual events ahead. These guides (my favorite is the humorous ,Celtic spirit named Patrick who teaches that laughter raises our vibrations) give us insight to heaven, life after death, angels, extraterrestrials, and Jesus. There is no doubt that LoBrutto has tapped into guidance greater than himself  and does a great job of  showing us the ups and downs of finding that guidance. The book is an enjoyable read…kind of like riding in the car with a friend while he tells stories of places you’ve never been and can’t wait to get there!

Thanks again Joe for my signed copy of the book. It now serves as an educational tome that I utilize with my clients. The book reminds me of how important trust is in this line of  work. I’m learning to trust my guides much more these days….

The book is available at Amazon.com

Here is a rare video of Joe in action…

(It has always been my belief that we are all connected. After receiving this from a recent client I thought it would be something to share.) -RW

If you had talked to me 10 years ago about past life regression I would have looked at you like you had 3 heads. What the heck is that?

Recently, I found out just “what it is” in a session that I thought was going to be just a reading/mediumship. Oh boy, did it get good.

So what the heck is it? Wikipedia says past life regression is a technique that uses hypnosis to recover what practitioners believe are memories of past lives or incarnations. Okay, so basically you get hypnotized and remember who you were before this life you’re living now. That’s just ridiculous…you can’t remember what happened 1000 years ago. Or is it ridiculous? Read on…

I arrive at Rick’s office for my session and we shoot the shit for about 10 minutes. Without warning he says, “Your friend Mike, did he have something wrong with his heart?” Why yes he did, in fact, that is precisely how he died. He was sort of on borrowed time having had trouble with his heart in the past. Mike was finally living his life the way he wanted, on the coast of California. Just when life seemed to be going so well for him, he suddenly passed away. “Mike’s here,” Rick said. That made me smile. I had been thinking of him constantly and he was showing up in my dreams. After reading “They’re Not Gone” by A.P. Morris, I knew that if you can’t get someone out of your head that has passed on they probably have a message for you. Needless to say, I wasn’t surprised to hear he was there and happy for his presence. Then Rick started saying more names of people that were coming through. Describing who they were and how they died. He told me it seemed like the spirits wanted to use me as a messenger. I’m no stranger to readings from Rick so I expected all of this, but what I didn’t expect was what happened next.

“How much coffee you had this morning,” Rick asked.

“Wow, that’s an off the wall question,” I thought to myself.

Happily I replied, “Only one cup.”

“Good, close your eyes and try to relax,” he said.

The next 35 minutes (which felt like 15) were amazing, interesting, enlightening, and above all, like a door way had just opened for me. Through guided meditation Rick brought me to my 21st birthday, then 16th birthday, then 10th, 3rd, 2nd and so on. We got to the day I was born where I saw myself being placed immediately on the left side of my mothers chest after birth. The doctor was at the foot of the bed and my father to her left (amazingly verifiable from my mother later that night). He took me back further and further. My body felt relaxed and motionless. I could hear Rick asking questions and I would immediately answer him like someone else was talking for me. There was virtually no thought in the things I was saying. The first thing that popped in my mind rolled off my tongue. Now I can’t remember everything (which is very common for hypnosis), but one of the things I do remember is seeing a man surrounded by fire and I was standing off to the side just watching. I felt like a little girl and he was my father.  As he asked more questions the answers came. One after another the information kept flowing with ease.

“What year is it?” he asked.

“1879,” I replied.

“Where are you?” he asked.

“Peru,” I replied.

I also remember saying things like “Knowledge is key” and “Learn love and joy.”

Now I hear Rick tapping one finger, then 2. My eyes slowly opening like they had been glued shut. I hear 3 fingers tapping, 4 fingers tapping, the sounds in the room, then bam…my eyes opened. Wow! That was fascinating! Rick and I sit for a moment and take time to process what had just occurred.

Throughout the session, I discovered that I am a “channel” and that is why Rick and I are together again. He’s helping to hone my intuition. Possibly that’s why so many spirits wanted me to be their messenger. People were coming through that I had no relation to and I couldn’t understand their messages. From reading A.P. Morris’ book I know that spirits tend to group together. If you have a connection with someone in this life, chances are you had a connection with them in another life. After having had a past life regression I am now more open to the connections I have with the people that surround me. Pondering if, how well, and how long I knew them before. Guess it could be hundreds or even thousands of years!

‎”The road to abundance is a happy one. If you’re not laughing pull the hell over…” -RW

Many years ago I was sitting in the back of a Greyhound bus on my way to Richmond, Virginia, to visit a friend.  At that point in my life, I was jobless as well as careless and felt that I’d pretty much lost everything.  All I had at that point was a copy of Norman Vincent Peale’s book “The Power of Positive Thinking”.  While reading the book I started to realize my thoughts were negative, needy and unfocused.  Most days they were, “Why isn’t this happening for me” or “I don’t have enough” and “Why does everybody else have more?”  My driver’s license said Rick, but it should have said VICTIM. It was everybody else’s fault.  It was my location.  It was my girlfriend.  It was my job.  It was my boss.  It was my cat (I’m so glad I got rid of that cat).  Reading the book helped me to see that my thoughts were the foundation of my life.  If my life sucked it was because I fundamentally believed it did.  If I said to myself, “I’m never going to find the right person,” that’s exactly what would happen.  Why am I always so bored?

The next day my car broke down.  I thought I was acknowledging reality, but it never occurred to me that I was creating that reality.  Slowly I started to turn my thoughts to ones of aspiration, abundance and joy.  As corny as this may sound I had to learn that happiness is the soil of any abundance garden and that I had to be happy before I could grow abundance, prosperity and joy. Not to mention it put me in a much better  mood.  Another lesson I had to learn was to allow others in my life to be as unhappy and nasty as they needed to be.  I didn’t have to participate with that bad behavior.  That didn’t mean I woke up in a good mood all of the time or that I didn’t ever get angry at myself.  But I committed to memory that in that moment maybe I needed to listen to a great song or watch a funny Youtube clip.  Whatever it would take to turn my attitude around is what I did.  Doing it on my own wasn’t going to work either.

I decided to surround myself with people I wanted to emulate and that were happy with their lives.  Then I’d quite simply ask them how they did it.  People that are experiencing joy and abundance are usually very happy to share their story with you!  Many of them taught me to focus on how to do something instead of finding ways not to. My words had real power.  I have never forgotten that.   My old vocabulary consisted of words like can’t, don’t know and scared.  I have new words.  Will, show me the way and passion.

The true power of positive thinking has brought me to a place that, at one time, I thought I’d never get to.   G-R-A-T-I-T-U-D-E.  I am now grateful for it all – my mistakes, financial woes, and everything that brought me to this point.

From gratitude grows passion and with passion you can do ANYTHING!

Many think that Fox News Glenn Beck is untouchable. However, it looks like advertisers aren’t touching him either. Jim Edwards of  bnet has written an informative piece  on Beck’s loss of Ad revenue over the past year.

How long can you drive a car without gas? Read on….

Glenn Beck has lost half the TV audience for his Fox News Channel show, and 15 of his 27 current ad slots are taken either by house ads for News Corp. (NWS) properties or non-profit concerns. Taken together, it is likely that Fox has taken a huge financial hit from the advertiser boycott of Beck. More than 100 companies have said they will not advertise on Beck’s show after he said President Obama was “a racist,” and late compared the president to a Nazi.

There are two surprising things here: First, corporate America’s commercials have not slowly trickled back to Beck’s show now that the fuss has died down (the scandal broke nearly a year ago). And second, it’s also a testament to how stubborn the News Corp. management culture is: They just don’t give in, even though at this point standing by Beck must have cost them millions of dollars. Clearly, this is important to them.

On MediaMatters’ current ad roster for Beck:

  • Beck’s show had 27 ad slots in total.
  • Nine were “house” ads for other News properties, and thus did not generate revenue for News.
  • Six were ads for non-profit organizations, and were unlikely to have been sold at full price.

One of the remaining 12 fully paid ads was for Nestle (NESN.VX)’s Purina cat food. Nestle has previously said it supports the boycott and that its ads only appeared on Beck by mistake. That suggests Fox won’t get paid for running the spot; or that Nestle has caved; or — and this would be controversial — Fox is deliberately running ads from big corporations by “mistake” to make Beck look safe for other companies to return.

Such appearances are crucial. For some brands, the “environment” is as important as the gross ratings points. And the current ad environment on Beck is populated by C-list brands such as Zoosk.com, Hydroxatone, and Tax Masters.

At one time, the boycott seemed irrelevant because Beck had such a massive audience for his daytime show, 3 million people. Now he has only about 1.4 million, according to Nielsen. So the show’s financial troubles are compounded: In addition to not selling enough full-price inventory to fill out the show, each individual slot is worth less because it delivers fewer ratings points.

Why does News persist? Although Beck still gets nearly triple the viewers of his competitors, it is not likely that Fox is standing behind him for business reasons. It would be much more lucrative for CEO Rupert Murdoch to demand that Beck apologize and move on. Then Nestle et al. could come back and everything would return to normal. Rather, this is as another case in which News is cutting off its nose to spite its face. Murdoch believes Beck is “right,” and he seems to be insisting that he’s not going to let liberal boycotts or his sympathetic clients push him around.

News has a history of this: It engaged in a suicidal civil war over supermarket advertising that cost the company $500 million, and it still hasn’t settled the last of that litigation. The manager responsible for those losses — News America Marketing CEO and New York Post publisher Paul Carlucci — remains in his position as if he’d done nothing wrong.

carl_20and_20al.jpg Psychic work involves picking up people’s “vibes” bad or good. When Brian Wilson wrote the song “Good Vibrations” he mentioned in a interview that many animals can pick up vibrations from humans. Our dog “Angel”  had dove into the trash for a little terrier garbage feast…she definitely picked up my vibe!

She smelled like wet lettuce and old Doritos.

It reminds me of when I do a mediumship or psychic session with an angry or depressed spirit or client. Their “stuff” can get all over me. If I am not careful this negative energy can stick around for days. Like many mediums and energy workers I do try and protect myself with prayer and light meditations. This helps but some of the basics still apply .

Water, water, water! I find that drinking good ol’ H2O really helps clear the body and rejuvenate it…try adding lemon to room temperature water drink at least 10 glasses daily. Remember that much water intake requires minerals so take em’  (I use Ultimate Minerals from http://www.greenlifesaver.net ). I also use Chandrika soap an ayurvedic soap that cleanses the spirit as well as the body ( wash with the intent of cleaning the chakras top of the head on down ). Also avoid sugar! Sugar at times has been my crack of choice and like crack  I end up like Chris Rock in the movie “New Jack City”. High amounts of sucrose, high fructose corn syrup, and brown sugar can really build yeast in your system and totally gunk your intuition receptors .

Reiki and massage.. do it. Find yourself a good Reiki practitioner and a good massage therapist. These modalities are important in reducing stress and clearing the residue from the body’s chakras . My body tends to “tense up” after a series of readings and a good massage will help put me back on track.

Now I am going to say something that might piss off a lot of people!   When you’re not feeling grounded after doing loads of energy work a glass of red wine and a steak really helps  reconnect with the body ( also eat organic meat and try an organic wine some are wonderful! )

From time to time I’ll add other pieces of info from other energy workers and place them on the blog …hope this was helpful ..if not at least maybe a chuckle.

You know,you know you are
Be still and know you are
Your life is meant for joy
It’s all so deep within, oh

Your life is beautiful
A seed becomes a tree
A mountain into a sky
This life is meant to be, oh

“Be Still” – The Beach Boys

I don’t know about you, but when things aren’t going my way I try everything in my arsenal of self help; mantras, books, meditations, and affirmations. Usually they work, when they don’t I want to slam my forehead into my well used copy of the “The Secret.” It doesn’t occur to me that patience with myself is one of the most efficient paths to stress reduction that I know.

I am one of those people that believes that coming up with solutions is better than complaining and whining any time. My problem is that I don’t suffer well. I expect solutions to come instantaneously and the problem with that is I am really not listening.

God has a great way of answering questions, it is pretty simplistic. Yes, no, and wait. The last part is the toughest because it requires faith. Thinking positively is pretty useless without faith. My dog Angel has plenty of faith, she knows that when you say “treat” we’re going to give her a little snack. She doesn’t worry about what kind of snack or if it is a big enough snack. Me on the other hand, worries how many snacks, will I get enough snacks, and if they are organic. All that worrying has gotten me nowhere. My stepdaughter also has non-complicated tools for dealing with this type of stress, it is called play. Kids can find joy in staring at a bug, coloring a picture, or singing to themselves. In these moments Cassandra is the perfect picture of self-awareness and joy.

So for today, I think I will go have a snack and sing to myself ( I don’t care if the snack is organic).

If you should ever leave me
Though life would still go on believe me
The world could show nothing to me
So what good would living do me
God only knows what I’d be without you

“God Only Knows” -The Beach Boys

The following is from the A.P.Morris site “They’re Not Gone” . This is probably one of the most important sessions in my fifteen year history as a medium. Thank you Candace for the hope you bring everyday.

Grieving the death of a child is by far the worst pain a parent can feel. How can it NOT be? A parent’s first instinct is to protect their children.

Dealing with grief from losing a child can seem near impossible and for many, believing in an afterlife is the only thing that can help at all. It won’t take the pain away but for fleeting moments, knowing that their angel is in fact safe and happy, can provide small windows of peace.

Mathy Downing is a parent who has had to survive the unsurvivable — losing a child. At the tender age of 12 years old, her daughter Candace passed away. The most crippling and horrific part was that it could have been avoided.

For most of us growing up, we watched our parents put their trust in doctors. At that time, medications were more of a last resort for any problem or illness. Unfortunately, in the current times, pharmaceutical drugs are prescribed at an astronomical rate.

Sadly, Candace’s life was unfairly taken from her because she was a causality of this epidemic.

( “They’re Not Gone”, excerpt from Chapter 13 –An Angel Like No Other, pg. 194)

( excerpt of Mathy speaking to Psychic Medium, Ricky Wood about her daughter Candace )

“You’re right,” Mathy responded sadly. “She was not depressed, she was put on anti-depressants not for depression, but for anxiety, and she did take her own life.” Mathy already knew unequivocally that Candace was not depressed and that the drugs she was prescribed caused it. At that moment she felt understood watching Ricky’s reaction. After a roller coaster ride of medications, Candace met an untimely death.

Although Mathy already believed in the afterlife and our own innate ability to receive messages from our loved ones, Mathy was comforted by Ricky Wood’s ability to understand the absolute devastation that she felt. She was also amazed by his ability to ’see’ her at a future event and provide advice.

( “They’re Not Gone”, excerpt from Chapter 13 –An Angel Like No Other, pg. 195)

“Mathy,” Ricky continued, “I see you standing at a podium in front of hundreds of people. BE STRONG. You have to be strong because they want to see your tears.” Ricky continued adamantly, “You have got to be strong. You can’t cry in front of them because that is what they want to see.” Six months later, Mathy was standing at a podium in front of hundreds of people addressing the FDA. She stood tall and strong telling them,  on“I am not impressed with you sitting back in your ivory towers passing judgment on our children, and our children’s blood is your hands.” She did not cry. This statement was replayed in the New York Times, World News Tonight, Fox, MSNBC, and the Today Show. Even at a medical conference, the head speaker quoted her in discussing the corruption of the drug industry in marketing drugs, over medication in our society, and how they are being used to make a buck.

Mathy Downing and her family continue to tirelessly advocate for parents and children’s rights to be informed of the potential tragic side effects of medicating children. Their strength and determination will save countless lives– sparing others the unthinkable grief from losing a child .

The death of a child is unfair, excruciatingly painful, and will probably never completely leave you. But my hope is that you will find some peace knowing that the love you and your child share will never die. It can’t. Your child is a spirit who is still with you today.

They’re Not Gone.

Wishing You Love & Peace,

“Celebrate the News”- The Beach Boys

When Melissa Finocchiaro decided to join the Wood Massott Center I asked her why she wanted to heal. What motivated her? Why do this? The answer was moving and heartwarming. Geri and myself are happy to have her aboard. But allow me to have Melissa talk about her journey and her Thai Yoga practice…

I’ ve always knew I wanted to be a healer from the time I was a little girl

whether I was helping injured birds, or offering a kind word to someone in distress—I knew that I wanted to help, to heal, and to nurture.

In college I bounced around with my major, starting with psychology, contemplating english, and then finally settling into art therapy.

I recall doing an internship that involved painting a large scale wall mural with mentally ill patients. This was a humorous, challenging, and at times eye opening experience. I witnessed a man who could barely speak, paralyzed from the waist down, and with limited mobility in his arms, paint an amazing landscape of a holy city ( Jerusalem perhaps) complete with a brilliant sunset, set against, mountains with crosses set on top of them. I was so taken aback, that this man who honestly I thought, I was going to have to hold his hand through the whole project, teaching me the meaning of not judging a book by its cover. This project was so therapeutic for him, allowing him to release all that vitality and pent up creativity.

Melissa has been doing massage and reiki for over 5 years, and has developed a massage style which incorporates the deep stretches and compressions of a thai yoga massage, with reiki healing, and a classic swedish massage. This massage may sound adventurous but its actually very relaxing and therapeutic. Combining all three really takes the healing to a deeper level. So you have your classic long swedish strokes, combined with gentle yet profound stretches ( always going with the clients breath), and she throws a bit of reiki in there, intuitively working on whichever chakra is calling me. All in all, this creates a true mind, body, and soul, blissfull experience.

This therapy can be done in either 60 or 90 minute intervals. Call 302-373-7720 to set up an appointment at The Wood Massott Holistic Center in Berwyn, PA.
