When I was younger “DJing” at the bars at the beach I had a favorite good nite sendoff-

“If you’re gonna drink and drive, make sure you have a car!”…yes I know, cute and stupid.

I’ve grown a little since then and I know no one wants to spend time in jail or if you’re in the Scottsdale, Az area …beautiful downtown “tent city”! The lovely gals down at “Inspirador” wrote a very informative pos ton how to beat the”heat” so to speak…

Imagine the convenience of stepping outside your local bar or restaurant and sticking your hand in the air and a “chauffeur” instantly pulls up to whisk you off to your desired destination.  Now imagine that “chauffeur” is available anytime, day or night. Not good enough?  Okay, he has a tv in the back seat for your entertainment and daily dose of news, weather, and music…oh, and by the way you can swipe your credit/debit card on the side of the tv and pay your “chauffeur” instantly for his/her services.

Okay…the truth is this is the newest (to most of us) way you can hail a taxi in New York City.  It’s BRILLIANT! COME ON…SERIOUSLY…why can’t we have this EVERYWHERE?  Oh…the convenience.

Well, we don’t have this “luxury” here in the desert…but we have something worth considering for your next event or tour around town.  Designated Driver Services Valleywide…one of our favorites you should know about: http://www.designateddrivers247.com/

I will be working out of my Arizona office for a few days. I didn’t go during July and August…too damn hot ( I know it’s a dry heat but the surface of the sun is dry too).

September 10th -14th (short visit this time) I’ll be offering sessions to my Phoenix clients from 9:00 am to 5:30 pm at the Hayden Ferry office. I will also be doing a private event in Cave Creek on Saturday (thanks Nick and Lori!).

During this time I will be visiting my sweet nieces Cheyenne and Madison (these two could make projectile vomiting cute ). Mimi’s Restaurant in Chandler I’m sure is awaiting my presence (hint, hint Jared and Leslie) . If I’m lucky my brother in law will take me to Teakwoods. Teakwoods is a spiritual watering hole near Gilbert …I say “spiritual” because any place with peanuts on the floorhas to be spiritual!  Gotta go visit Deenie,Amy Indra and Ms.Tonya at Inspirador …Downtown Chandler is looking good! AM I GONNA BE ABLE TO FIT ALL THIS FUN STUFF IN? Damn I’m gonna try real hard. Maybe the best thing would be just to watch bad reality TV with Sarenna and the dogs (I should make those dogs watch Cesar on “The Dog Whisperer” …little canines on crack).

I told Amy and Cassandra that I wouldn’t go into  Jack in the Box.

That doesn’t mean I can’t use the drive-thru.

We just got back from a wonderful visit to Arizona! It was a working vacation for me… met a lot of great people and did a lot of wonderful sessions.

My better half and step-daughter got to take in the beauty of the Grand Canyon, and the delicacies of Jack-in-the-Box. (Cassandra thought that french toast sticks were the bomb) But the most important was our visit with family. Our beautiful nieces, Cheyenne & Madison, once again showed us that fun was a loving simple matter. All it took was a few rubber balls and a few blueberries – viola! instant bliss!

I’m so blessed to have these kids in my life, they are a constant reminder that gratitude should be a constant state of being…until your diapers are full.

Amy, Cassandra, & I were given a grand tour of the new wedding venue, Inspirador, in downtown Chandler. And in Amy’s words, “The possibilities are endless.” Dilia Roberts and Amy Marvin gave us a patient and informative tour of the facility. But that’s not all, we were exposed to the wonderus tastes of Vosges chocolates in their storefront boutique. And of course my favorite was Mo’s Bacon Bar, chocolate and bacon… enough said.

The girl’s rounded out their visit with a drive with Uncle GiGi & Aunt Leslie to the Grand Canyon, where lovely niece Madison was exposed to snow for the very first time.

I also got to see my mother, who was visiting from South America. She proceeded to let me know that I was getting fat and that natural laxatives would help me get rid of that unkindly bloat. Still…it was good to see see her.

Big thanks to Indra and Serena , my favorite marines-thanks for putting primo Ricky up (your probiotics are on the way)

hopefully one day soon we can spend a lot more time with you all in Gilbert.

“Wouldn’t  it be nice”…

brideandrea_thumbnail1.jpg I just love Arizona! The people. The sun. The drive thru at Jack in the Box. Especially the East Valley area of Phoenix, with its wonderful shopping and restaurants (I live in a rural area of Pennsylvania-Perkins is considered fine dining!). When ever possible I visit the area to do my usual sessions in Tempe and visit Angus and Hendrix (my sister and brother in law’s wise canine companions) . There is something very spiritual about lying underneath a lemon tree and occasionally licking your private parts.

On a visit to Chandler,AZ my sister showed me a building being renovated downtown…there wasn’t much but concrete and a lot of dust. She told me with a sparkle in her eye that this would be an event locale like no other. A place for unique weddings, social gatherings, charity events and an art gallery that would help light up the “new” downtown Chandler! I told her that the Jack in the Box on the corner had already taken care of that. After a swift smack to the head my sis reiterated “it will be an event locale like no other” AND the business will give back in many charitable ways.

That was many months ago. After many long days of planning, meetings, and the usual complications …..INSPIRADOR IS NOW OPEN!!

This was definitely worth the wait. The building has certainly become an incredible, vibrant addition to downtown Chandler. Also huge kudos to Amy Marvin who has been by my sister’s side throughout this project (thanks for always having Deenie’s back). Also to my brother in law Scott (he rocks, literally) for supporting and putting up with the Wood family. Cousin Indra and Serena thanks for always helping my sister thru this wild ride (answering phones, organizing and taking care of pookie jr ). Alright enough sap…please visit http://www.inspirador.com to see the wonderful pics of this dream come true!
