“All This is That” – the Beach Boys

I’ve never met Joe LoBrutto Psychic Medium in person. A year ago, something told me I may be crossing paths with him and to be ready. So I got my baseball bat and waited. Then I realized that voice inside my head was telling that this was a good man and not to be frightened. Soon I would start to see his name at random events and times. The voices again were telling me to reach out to him, that he was on to something.  Big.  I went by his website and left a comment.

Since then, we have spoken many times and I have even been on his radio show.  It was great meeting and talking with another male intuitive, especially one with his heart in the heavens and his butt on the ground.

Joe said he had a book coming out and he would send me one.

I just received  “Is There More to Life Than What We Know?”. This book is more than a “How to”  (although there are excellent tips and exercises to improve intuition). The writings  are a platform for Joe’s ” Spirit Guides” to bring messages of hope and peace in a way that’s  beautifully easy to understand.

The world is changing and the story of this book is how to best prepare for the earthly and spiritual events ahead. These guides (my favorite is the humorous ,Celtic spirit named Patrick who teaches that laughter raises our vibrations) give us insight to heaven, life after death, angels, extraterrestrials, and Jesus. There is no doubt that LoBrutto has tapped into guidance greater than himself  and does a great job of  showing us the ups and downs of finding that guidance. The book is an enjoyable read…kind of like riding in the car with a friend while he tells stories of places you’ve never been and can’t wait to get there!

Thanks again Joe for my signed copy of the book. It now serves as an educational tome that I utilize with my clients. The book reminds me of how important trust is in this line of  work. I’m learning to trust my guides much more these days….

The book is available at Amazon.com

Here is a rare video of Joe in action…

carl_20and_20al.jpg Psychic work involves picking up people’s “vibes” bad or good. When Brian Wilson wrote the song “Good Vibrations” he mentioned in a interview that many animals can pick up vibrations from humans. Our dog “Angel”  had dove into the trash for a little terrier garbage feast…she definitely picked up my vibe!

She smelled like wet lettuce and old Doritos.

It reminds me of when I do a mediumship or psychic session with an angry or depressed spirit or client. Their “stuff” can get all over me. If I am not careful this negative energy can stick around for days. Like many mediums and energy workers I do try and protect myself with prayer and light meditations. This helps but some of the basics still apply .

Water, water, water! I find that drinking good ol’ H2O really helps clear the body and rejuvenate it…try adding lemon to room temperature water drink at least 10 glasses daily. Remember that much water intake requires minerals so take em’  (I use Ultimate Minerals from http://www.greenlifesaver.net ). I also use Chandrika soap an ayurvedic soap that cleanses the spirit as well as the body ( wash with the intent of cleaning the chakras top of the head on down ). Also avoid sugar! Sugar at times has been my crack of choice and like crack  I end up like Chris Rock in the movie “New Jack City”. High amounts of sucrose, high fructose corn syrup, and brown sugar can really build yeast in your system and totally gunk your intuition receptors .

Reiki and massage.. do it. Find yourself a good Reiki practitioner and a good massage therapist. These modalities are important in reducing stress and clearing the residue from the body’s chakras . My body tends to “tense up” after a series of readings and a good massage will help put me back on track.

Now I am going to say something that might piss off a lot of people!   When you’re not feeling grounded after doing loads of energy work a glass of red wine and a steak really helps  reconnect with the body ( also eat organic meat and try an organic wine some are wonderful! )

From time to time I’ll add other pieces of info from other energy workers and place them on the blog …hope this was helpful ..if not at least maybe a chuckle.

calvin_hobbes_640_480There has never been a comic strip that captured my imagination like “Calvin and Hobbes” .  I would even give “Calvin and Hobbes” collections as birthday, Christmas gifts etc. Spending a quiet rainy afternoon with a PBJ reading about Spaceman Spiff or  Calvin’s transmorgrifier would melt my worries away.

Joel Schroeder has now put together a documentary film that will celebrate and explore the art and impact of Calvin & Hobbes, created by Bill Watterson…..

About this project

Calvin & Hobbes dominated the comics in thousands of newspapers for over ten years, having a profound effect on millions of readers across the globe. When the strip’s creator, Bill Watterson, retired the strip on New Year’s Eve in 1995, devoted readers everywhere felt the void left by the departure of Calvin, Hobbes, and Watterson’s other cast of characters, and many fans would never find a satisfactory replacement.

It has now been more than a decade since the end of the Calvin & Hobbes era. Bill Watterson has kept an extremely low profile during this time, living a very private life outside of Cleveland, Ohio. Despite his quiet lifestyle, Mr. Watterson is remembered and appreciated daily by fans who still enjoy his amazing collection of work.

Mr. Watterson has inspired and influenced millions of people through Calvin & Hobbes. Newspaper readership and book sales can be tracked and recorded, but the human impact he has had and the value of his art are perhaps impossible to measure.wattersonrare

Dear Mr. Watterson is a film that will look to the readers and fans of Calvin & Hobbes to tell the story of the strip and its creator. As we explore the art and impact of Bill Watterson through this unique perspective, the undying appreciation and love of Calvin & Hobbes and the man behind it will be evident in the anecdotes, stories, and memories shared by readers of the strip and friends and colleagues of Mr. Watterson.

While the crew has been donating their time to make this project happen, we’ll be taking several trips to conduct interviews and collect footage, so the costs of air tickets, rental cars, meals, and motel stays will add up. If we raise our minimum goal of $12,000 all at once through Kickstarter, we’ll be able to move forward on this film with less of a funding hurdle, and the more we raise on top of that, the more we can do with the film, and the faster we can do it.

So many people have expressed such gratitude to us for making this film, and in turn, I have great appreciation for those of you who are able to support us in this endeavor.

Thank you so much for helping us reach $12,000. With so much time left, let’s see if we can double that!

Joel

Ladies you do an incredible job. Many of you are Mothers. Hats off to you all! I got this in my email today, pass it on!

Mother’s Day is this Sunday, and I’ll bet you know a mom who deserves thanks—and an award—for all she does. This is easy and fun. I just started sending this to all the Momsmom-tafpagestill I know.

That’s why our friends at MomsRising.org created this great, funny video news report that you can personalize and send to each mom in your life, announcing that she’s won “Mother of the Year.”

When I watched it, I laughed out loud. Just go here to see it yourself, and then send it to the moms in your life:

2-susan-boyle-2009I watched this clip in the AM after my accountant “Facebooked” me the link. I was floored. Thank you Susan Boyle. You have shown me that  you should never, ever give up on your dreams! You are never too old and the naysayers should “piss off”!

American Idol has never had this energy. Its the first time I’ve seen Simon speechless!

If today you feel like your dreams aren’t worth it, stop breathe and watch this video. Watch it ten times if you have too.

Then get back to your dream. Get back to believing in miracles. Get back to believing in you.
