“All This is That” – the Beach Boys

I’ve never met Joe LoBrutto Psychic Medium in person. A year ago, something told me I may be crossing paths with him and to be ready. So I got my baseball bat and waited. Then I realized that voice inside my head was telling that this was a good man and not to be frightened. Soon I would start to see his name at random events and times. The voices again were telling me to reach out to him, that he was on to something.  Big.  I went by his website and left a comment.

Since then, we have spoken many times and I have even been on his radio show.  It was great meeting and talking with another male intuitive, especially one with his heart in the heavens and his butt on the ground.

Joe said he had a book coming out and he would send me one.

I just received  “Is There More to Life Than What We Know?”. This book is more than a “How to”  (although there are excellent tips and exercises to improve intuition). The writings  are a platform for Joe’s ” Spirit Guides” to bring messages of hope and peace in a way that’s  beautifully easy to understand.

The world is changing and the story of this book is how to best prepare for the earthly and spiritual events ahead. These guides (my favorite is the humorous ,Celtic spirit named Patrick who teaches that laughter raises our vibrations) give us insight to heaven, life after death, angels, extraterrestrials, and Jesus. There is no doubt that LoBrutto has tapped into guidance greater than himself  and does a great job of  showing us the ups and downs of finding that guidance. The book is an enjoyable read…kind of like riding in the car with a friend while he tells stories of places you’ve never been and can’t wait to get there!

Thanks again Joe for my signed copy of the book. It now serves as an educational tome that I utilize with my clients. The book reminds me of how important trust is in this line of  work. I’m learning to trust my guides much more these days….

The book is available at Amazon.com

Here is a rare video of Joe in action…

Healing on the Spiritual Path – The Key to Tomorrow’s Health
Medical doctors present healings that are
medically verifiable.
You are invited to attend this FREE lecture. I am a physician in Germany and my colleagues and I do this work out of gratitude for the help and healing we have experienced. Healing of severe chronic illnesses and even so called “incurable” conditions will be presented. During the lecture you have the opportunity to experience the healing power for yourself. You can utilize this power for your own health and for those you love.
International Medical Scientific Group organizes the lectures
I am a member and the director of the international Medical Scientific Group, which is a part of the Bruno Groening Circle of Friends. We have about 6000 medical professionals worldwide and we give these lectures in our leisure time. Many of these lectures are held at universities, even medical universities.
There is no incurable.
The basis of the lectures is the teaching of Bruno Groening, who lived in Germany from 1906-1959. In his lifetime, extraordinary healings occurred during his lectures, which gave him worldwide recognition. He spoke of a power that comes from God which can be easily absorbed by everyone. This divine power was referred to by Bruno Groening as the “healing stream” or the Heilstrom.

An extensive documentary film “The Phenomenon Bruno Gröning – On the Tracks of the Miracle Healer” about the life and work of Bruno Gröning will be shown in several American cities beginning in October 2010 through Spring, 2011. It has been translated into thirty languages and shown successfully worldwide. A German film team created this extensive film production for cinemas over a span of nine years. Thousands of actors, all extras, and most people involved in the production worked in their free time and without any payment. Using contemporary witnesses, original pictures and audio tapes as well as film scenes, the documentary allows a deep insight into the life and work of the most important healer of the last century. The film is shown on a donation basis.
Exact dates and a trailer for the film can be found in the internet under http://www.bruno-groening.org/english/film/defaultfilm.htm.
Please inform your friends and loved ones about this special event.
Yours sincerely,
G. Blättner, M.D.

‎”The road to abundance is a happy one. If you’re not laughing pull the hell over…” -RW

Many years ago I was sitting in the back of a Greyhound bus on my way to Richmond, Virginia, to visit a friend.  At that point in my life, I was jobless as well as careless and felt that I’d pretty much lost everything.  All I had at that point was a copy of Norman Vincent Peale’s book “The Power of Positive Thinking”.  While reading the book I started to realize my thoughts were negative, needy and unfocused.  Most days they were, “Why isn’t this happening for me” or “I don’t have enough” and “Why does everybody else have more?”  My driver’s license said Rick, but it should have said VICTIM. It was everybody else’s fault.  It was my location.  It was my girlfriend.  It was my job.  It was my boss.  It was my cat (I’m so glad I got rid of that cat).  Reading the book helped me to see that my thoughts were the foundation of my life.  If my life sucked it was because I fundamentally believed it did.  If I said to myself, “I’m never going to find the right person,” that’s exactly what would happen.  Why am I always so bored?

The next day my car broke down.  I thought I was acknowledging reality, but it never occurred to me that I was creating that reality.  Slowly I started to turn my thoughts to ones of aspiration, abundance and joy.  As corny as this may sound I had to learn that happiness is the soil of any abundance garden and that I had to be happy before I could grow abundance, prosperity and joy. Not to mention it put me in a much better  mood.  Another lesson I had to learn was to allow others in my life to be as unhappy and nasty as they needed to be.  I didn’t have to participate with that bad behavior.  That didn’t mean I woke up in a good mood all of the time or that I didn’t ever get angry at myself.  But I committed to memory that in that moment maybe I needed to listen to a great song or watch a funny Youtube clip.  Whatever it would take to turn my attitude around is what I did.  Doing it on my own wasn’t going to work either.

I decided to surround myself with people I wanted to emulate and that were happy with their lives.  Then I’d quite simply ask them how they did it.  People that are experiencing joy and abundance are usually very happy to share their story with you!  Many of them taught me to focus on how to do something instead of finding ways not to. My words had real power.  I have never forgotten that.   My old vocabulary consisted of words like can’t, don’t know and scared.  I have new words.  Will, show me the way and passion.

The true power of positive thinking has brought me to a place that, at one time, I thought I’d never get to.   G-R-A-T-I-T-U-D-E.  I am now grateful for it all – my mistakes, financial woes, and everything that brought me to this point.

From gratitude grows passion and with passion you can do ANYTHING!

You know,you know you are
Be still and know you are
Your life is meant for joy
It’s all so deep within, oh

Your life is beautiful
A seed becomes a tree
A mountain into a sky
This life is meant to be, oh

“Be Still” – The Beach Boys

I don’t know about you, but when things aren’t going my way I try everything in my arsenal of self help; mantras, books, meditations, and affirmations. Usually they work, when they don’t I want to slam my forehead into my well used copy of the “The Secret.” It doesn’t occur to me that patience with myself is one of the most efficient paths to stress reduction that I know.

I am one of those people that believes that coming up with solutions is better than complaining and whining any time. My problem is that I don’t suffer well. I expect solutions to come instantaneously and the problem with that is I am really not listening.

God has a great way of answering questions, it is pretty simplistic. Yes, no, and wait. The last part is the toughest because it requires faith. Thinking positively is pretty useless without faith. My dog Angel has plenty of faith, she knows that when you say “treat” we’re going to give her a little snack. She doesn’t worry about what kind of snack or if it is a big enough snack. Me on the other hand, worries how many snacks, will I get enough snacks, and if they are organic. All that worrying has gotten me nowhere. My stepdaughter also has non-complicated tools for dealing with this type of stress, it is called play. Kids can find joy in staring at a bug, coloring a picture, or singing to themselves. In these moments Cassandra is the perfect picture of self-awareness and joy.

So for today, I think I will go have a snack and sing to myself ( I don’t care if the snack is organic).

“Now is the time life begins
Take that simple path

Live in harmony

What are Chakra’s? Chakra’s are energy centers that we have all over and around our bodies. They are spinning wheels that keep our center’s open and our energy flowing. This keeps us balanced and healthy. When our chakra’s are off- balanced or blocked we can have problems is our life. To keep it simple: we have seven main chakra’s on our physical body.

The 1st is our base chakra. It’s color is red and it represents  our physical world, our personality, self expression, security and survival. The 2nd is our Sacral Chakra. It’s color is orange and it represents sexual energy, creative and pure emotions, feelings. The 3rd is our Solar Plexus Chakra. It’s color is Yellow and it represents wishes, desires, this is where our personality is formed. This is also where the bridge between our higher and lower aspects of ourselves meet. The 4th is our Heart Chakra. It’s color is green and it represents our ability to love, and have an appreciation of art or music. This is also where healing is done. Our heart is the center of our body. It also is the 1st Spiritual Chakra. The 5th is our Throat Chakra. It’s color is blue and it represents our expression of laughter, speech, weeping. All sounds on both the physical and metaphysical levels. It allows us to express emotions and feelings. The 6th Chakra is our Third Eye. It’s color is Indigo and it connects us to Spirit and other worlds. It is God intuition. The 7th is our Crown Chakra. It’s color is Violet, White, Gold and it represents our connections to the Universe. It gives us guidance and knowledge beyond words or intellect.

What I am working to do is connecting and aligning our Chakra’s so that we can tap into our Divine Purpose and Guidance. That is why I try to incorporate Chakra balancing in my practice. This helps us understand our minds, our bodies and our souls. Eastern cultures treat our Spiritual body with our Physical body in the healing of illness and the Ancients treated our Spiritual body before the Physical body.  I just feel that illness and dis-ease starts as an emotion that can be address before we get sick. Use your inner guidance and see if this rings true for you.

Many Thanks To Geri Massott for writing this post …Geri and Rick Wood have joined forces and are opening The Wood Massott Holistic Center in June.

Virginia Beach Friends of the International Association for Near-Death Studies is a local non-profit organization dedicated to the support of those who have had a Near-Death Experience (NDE), Out-of-Body Experience (OBE), or other Spiritually Transformative Experience (STE), as well as those who are interested in learning more about NDEs, OBEs, or STEs.

They fulfill their mission through a monthly speaker meeting, weekly sharing group meetings, maintaining a study and lending library, and posting videos of many of our speakers on the Internet via the web site of Fellowship of the Inner Light.

Peter Panagore of Maine, an ordained minister in the United Church of Christ, will be the speaker at the next meeting of the Virginia Beach Friends of the International Association for Near-Death Studies (VBIANDS). Rev. Panagore died of hypothermia in 1980 while ice-climbing in Canada. He separated from his physical body and entered a timeless and beautiful Void where he talked with God telepathically. Peter became agonizingly aware of his sins, but God said, I love you. I made you this way. You’re my creature; you’re forgiven.”God added, “In the same way that I love you now, I have always loved you, only you couldn’t feel it. All is well. All has been well. You just don’t know it while on earth.” Peter came away from the experience understanding that God’s love is unconditional. The experience changed Peter’s life, and changed his concepts of God, life, and death. Now he is eager to share his message about life continuing beyond the physical and about the love and greatness of God.

For Saturday’s A.R.E. meeting, a donation of $5 is suggested at the door, but no one will be turned away until capacity of the mini-auditorium is reached.

calvin_hobbes_640_480There has never been a comic strip that captured my imagination like “Calvin and Hobbes” .  I would even give “Calvin and Hobbes” collections as birthday, Christmas gifts etc. Spending a quiet rainy afternoon with a PBJ reading about Spaceman Spiff or  Calvin’s transmorgrifier would melt my worries away.

Joel Schroeder has now put together a documentary film that will celebrate and explore the art and impact of Calvin & Hobbes, created by Bill Watterson…..

About this project

Calvin & Hobbes dominated the comics in thousands of newspapers for over ten years, having a profound effect on millions of readers across the globe. When the strip’s creator, Bill Watterson, retired the strip on New Year’s Eve in 1995, devoted readers everywhere felt the void left by the departure of Calvin, Hobbes, and Watterson’s other cast of characters, and many fans would never find a satisfactory replacement.

It has now been more than a decade since the end of the Calvin & Hobbes era. Bill Watterson has kept an extremely low profile during this time, living a very private life outside of Cleveland, Ohio. Despite his quiet lifestyle, Mr. Watterson is remembered and appreciated daily by fans who still enjoy his amazing collection of work.

Mr. Watterson has inspired and influenced millions of people through Calvin & Hobbes. Newspaper readership and book sales can be tracked and recorded, but the human impact he has had and the value of his art are perhaps impossible to measure.wattersonrare

Dear Mr. Watterson is a film that will look to the readers and fans of Calvin & Hobbes to tell the story of the strip and its creator. As we explore the art and impact of Bill Watterson through this unique perspective, the undying appreciation and love of Calvin & Hobbes and the man behind it will be evident in the anecdotes, stories, and memories shared by readers of the strip and friends and colleagues of Mr. Watterson.

While the crew has been donating their time to make this project happen, we’ll be taking several trips to conduct interviews and collect footage, so the costs of air tickets, rental cars, meals, and motel stays will add up. If we raise our minimum goal of $12,000 all at once through Kickstarter, we’ll be able to move forward on this film with less of a funding hurdle, and the more we raise on top of that, the more we can do with the film, and the faster we can do it.

So many people have expressed such gratitude to us for making this film, and in turn, I have great appreciation for those of you who are able to support us in this endeavor.

Thank you so much for helping us reach $12,000. With so much time left, let’s see if we can double that!

Joel

36-1Blue Cross has just announced that it’s immediately raising premiums charged to hundreds of thousands of individual customers by as much as 39%—even though their parent company’s profits soared to a record $4.7 billion last year.2

Even worse, the insurer has so far refused to explain why they’re increasing their rates, and warned that they might do so again this year without warning.

The Obama administration is demanding answers from Anthem Blue Cross, and Congress has opened an investigation.3 But Blue Cross is only going to respond if this story becomes a major public-relations problem for them.

So it’s time to turn up the heat. Let’s join the growing call for an explanation and send a powerful public message that these abuses by Big Insurance are unacceptable.

http://pol.moveon.org/bluecross/?rc=taf_kicker&id=18943-11381997-P6nhw_x&t=3

The petition says: “Anthem Blue Cross must provide a detailed explanation for their exorbitant rate increases, or else roll them back immediately.”

These latest rate increases in California—reportedly the largest ever by Blue Cross for individual policyholders in the state—are yet another powerful example of how badly broken our health care system is and how desperately we need to hold Big Insurance accountable for exploiting their customers.

Anthem Blue Cross’s parent company made record profits last year despite losing 1.4 million customers—increasing their profit margins by cherrypicking the healthiest people to insure.4

Then they can turn around and dramatically increase the rates they charge to the customers they’ve kept, because there are almost no rules governing rate increases. In fact, the company doesn’t even have to publicly reveal how many customers’ rates they’ve increased, or by how much.

The good news is that Kathleen Sebelius, President Obama’s Secretary of Health and Human Services, is already publicly demanding answers from the company. And the House Energy and Commerce Committee has announced plans to hold hearings to investigate.

But to get Anthem to clean up their act—and show politicians and the media that we can’t afford any more abuses by Big Insurance—we all need to lend our voices. Will you sign the petition?

Praise is something we all want and at the same time feel uncomfortable receiving. I recently was given praise in its highest form.

A book.

About the work I do.

I’m honored….

Author Sharing Hope for the Holidays with New Book titled They’re Not Gone.

Phoenixville, PA – November 10, 2009 – Author,  A.P. Morris, is releasing a non-fiction book, They’re Not Gone, to coincide with the holiday season.

cover_blogThey’re Not Gone shares stories of 13 people whose loved ones passed away and their eventual ‘reconnection’ through the assistance of local Psychic Medium, Ricky Wood. Each story contains ‘evidence’ that their spirits are still very much alive.  Wood delivers specifics from names and dates to mannerisms and jokes to verify the spirit who is communicating.

“I wanted to share my story to give others hope, especially during the holiday season when missing them can be even more difficult.  I am now 100% positive that our loved ones don’t vanish with death, they are still very much alive,” Morris said.

A.P. Morris’s story in the book tells of the loss of her brother to suicide when she was just 16 years old.  After hearing from him through Psychic medium Ricky Wood, her life was transformed. Ricky Wood referred to a nickname of her brother’s that she had never told a soul about, allowing her to know definitively that he was still ‘alive.’

“I spent so many holiday seasons sad and depressed because I missed my brother so desperately.  If I’d only known that he wasn’t just gone, I think it may have been a whole lot easier for me,” A.P. Morris, author, said.

Each story offers a different type of love, loss, and lesson. Whether you’ve lost a child, spouse, parent, or great friend, there is a relationship that everyone can relate with.  Following each story, there is a question and answer section where the reader gets to learn more about Ricky’s beliefs based on his years of experience working as a Psychic Medium.

“I’m very excited to have the opportunity to share some amazing true life stories.  The information contained in this book could change so many people’s lives.  I know – it changed mine,” Morris said.amy bw

A.P. Morris feels that it was easier for her to believe in the continued existence of our spirits after she received ‘proof.’  Her hope is that by sharing these stories it will bring peace to many people’s lives, especially during this holiday season.

On December 2, 2009 you can purchase a copy of the book “They’re Not Gone,” for just $16.95 by visiting www.Amazon.com or www.theyrenotgone.com .
